CORDES COMMUNITY EVENTS CALENDAR ***************************************** SUMMER READING PROGRAM AT THE CORDES LAKES LIBRARY starts June 21st. The movie starts at 3:00 p.m. and will be "Escape from Planet Earth." June 27th features Gold Panning with the Gentles at 1:00 p.m. Friends of the Library meets at 11:30 a.m. on July 3rd and invites any interested persons to attend. The movie on July 19th at 3:00 p.m. will be "Croods." Wildman Phil will return to the library at 4:00 p.m. on July 25th. It’s going to be a busy and entertaining summer at the Cordes Library. Don’t miss the fun! ----------------------------------- SUMMER SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM is in progress at the Cordes Lakes Community Center. It has a very melodious sound and hangs on its own stand. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Drawing will be held at Cordes Lakes Days in September. In addition, the Cannon Academy will present music workshops and author Billy Mitchell, whose book ‘The Gigging Musician’ remains an important resource for young musicians. There will also be children's activities, retail and food vendors, raffles, tours of Arcosanti, and more!
