COMMUNITY CALENDAR MEETING, 10:00 a.m. at the Cordes Lakes Community Center.  This is
where people in the 69 Corridor get together to pick dates for area fundraising events so they are
held on days that do not conflict with one another.  Any churches, non-profits, or interested parties
are invited to attend.  You do not have to specifically state an event, just declare that you would like
to hold that date open for your event.

COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES FREE LEGAL CLINIC OPEN INTAKE, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Faith United
Community United Church of Christ, 1061 Old Chrisholm Dr, Dewey.  If you have a pressing legal
issue stop by and speak with the intake receptionist to determine eligibility.  An attorney will be
present to discuss Social Security, AHCCCS, Wage Claims, public and health benefits, as well as
employment law. All Applicants must qualify for services before speaking with an attorney. Please
bring all relevant legal documents.

YAVAPAI COUNTY OPEN HOUSE, 1:30-3:00 pm at 1015 Fair Street in Prescott.  Yavapai County is
celebrating 150 years of service and is extending a warm welcome to the public and employees of
Yavapai County to participate in their Open House event.

AMERICAN LEGION MONTHLY MEETING, 1:00 p.m. at their new location which is the Conference
Building at the Cordes Junction Motel at 19780 Hitching Post Way.  As you enter the property, the
building is directly in front of you.

CORDES LAKES DAYS at Henry Cordes Park.  A walk-a-thon (contact Cathy King  at
602-909-9339), parade, vendor booths, food, games, raffles and much more are planned.  

Norm Kozak is in charge of the raffles for Cordes Lakes Days.  Contact him at
775-4223 for tickets for the Scratch Raffle.  “Have and itch?  Buy a scratcher”.
There are eight chances on each ticket.

WEST YAVAPAI  GUIDANCE CLINIC, Prescott Valley,  a FREE Mental Health First Aid
course, 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. Learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction
concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis
situations, and where to turn for help.  The course is based on an international program designed
to help individuals, first responders, family members and others to understand mental illness
and how to help persons suffering from various disorders.  Space is limited so advance

FRIENDS OF THE AGUA FRIA ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY CLEANUP DAY, 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m.  The Friends
of Agua Fria National Monument organization has adopted a stretch of I-17 from milepost 259
(Bloody Basin exit) to milepost 260, both northbound and southbound lanes and is seeking
volunteers to help out.  Meet at the Bloody Basin Agua Fria National Monument kiosk off I 17, exit
259. Cold water and snacks will be provided to participants, as well as sun screen and safety
vests.  Lunch at the 50's Diner in Cordes Junction, will be on the Friends following the cleanup. Also,
there will be a prize for the most interesting item found on the cleanup.  For more information:
